Judith Dooshima Pila is a multi-potentialite—lifelong learner, and author, with over ten years of diverse experience across various industries.
Judith began her career in the Insurance Industry, where she worked for almost seven years. In 2021, Insurance Business Canada Magazine named her one of Canada’s Rising Stars in Insurance.

Judith founded Insure Africa to drive insurance inclusion through literacy and awareness. Through the InsureChat Ask The Expert Initiative, Judith collaborated with industry leaders in Kenya, Zambia, South Africa, Nigeria, and Ghana to bring insurance awareness to thousands of Africans in these countries and beyond.

The Insure Africa platform has continued to be a one-stop destination and resource centre for Africans to find information on all things insurance.
Judith eventually exited the company in 2024, leaving it in the best hands to continue the legacy.
Judith’s desire to make a difference led her to different volunteer roles. She was once the Edmonton Chapter Lead for SoGal Foundation, the largest global platform redefining the next generation of diverse founders and funders. She was a Board Director Member for LCCMedia Foundation (now the Financial Empowerment Initiative), a non-profit organization targeted and focused on creating knowledge and wealth generation for all members of the Black Community. She has also volunteered with organizations like, the Insurance Institute of Canada and the Career Education Council.
She serves as an Advisory Board Member with GROW Women Leaders, a company redefining the future of work, business and leadership by helping women get hired, and advance their careers.
Judith contributes her transformative vision to various businesses, helping to navigate the vastly competitive environment, towards efficiency, effectiveness and profitability.
Judith hopes to use every talent, skill and opportunity to impact the world, positively, one deed at a time, no matter how small.
Of all the experiences above, and in a world where titles define us, Judith prefers the pieces that make us human, for example, empathy.
In the end, we are human first.
